Institute Honours Scottish Members.
At the Scottish Region meeting in Glasgow on 14 August 2007, two Scottish Region members were presented with a "Certificate of Meritorious Service" in recognition of their work for the Scottish Region by the Immediate Past Chairman, John Yellowlees.

The first certificate was presented to Marion Mackay who has, for many single handedly organised and run the Grampian and Tayside area meetings and events, as well as serving on the Scottish Region Committee. Marion said afterwards "I was very surprised and truly delighted to receive the award."
The second certificate was presented to John Fender, the newly elected Scottish Region Chairman and recognises his work over many years in a number of roles. He has served on the Scottish Region Committee for many years and is a former Scottish Region Secretary of the CIT. John also designed the Scottish Region website and keeps it up to date.
John said "This has come as a complete surprise. I would like to thank the institute for this tremendous honour".
The Institute's Certificate of Meritorious Service is awarded to members who have made a significant contribution to the Institute and recognises their services to the Institute.
