George D. Brown, MCILT
George was appointed Administration Manager in 1975 for Tennent Caledonian Breweries where he was was responsible for order collation, delivery scheduling, load planning & vehicle routing, covering the West of Scotland, and Northern & Western Isles. He was then appointed Distribution Manager East of Scotland, controlled the Warehousing, Primary & Secondary movements of Wines & Spirits, small and large pack beers, including tank beer to Retail & Wholesale customers.
He was promoted to Regional Distribution Manager and became responsible for Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Ayr & Dumfries Depots. In 1991 he was appointed Development Manager for Bass Brewers, creating transit and transhipment depots, along with the development of third party contracting.
Next he was appointed Scottish Customer Service Manager ensuring customer service levels were maintained across all functions. George then joined Arbuckle Smith & Co. in 1995 as Business Development Manager developing new business opportunities, project management & rate negotiations with customers, latterly with Tibbett & Britten in a similar role.
George is a keen follower and supporter of Falkirk Football Club, saying they need all the help they can get, and admits to playing golf poorly at Glenbervie Golf Club, Larbert.
