Scottish Region Committee Member Marion Mackay being presented with a gift in reconition of her outstanding service to the Scottish Region.

At the Scottish Region's Annual Dinner on 28th September 2006, the Scottish Region acknowledged the outstanding contribution made by member Marion Mackay over the last few years. Marion and has served on the committee since 1993 and has been organising the North-East's programme of events by herself for most of that time. These events include meetings, many held in First Aberdeen's offices as well as visits to a variety of transport facilities.

Marion, originally from Spinningdale in Sutherland, has lived in Aberdeen since studying at Aberdeen University for an MA, is a Planning Officer in Aberdeenshire Council's Public Transport Unit, with responsibilities for Concessionary Travel and Community Transport, was presented with a gift from Scottish Region Chairman, John Yellowlees who said "I hope you'll accept this small gift as testimony to the gratitude that we all feel for the way that you ensure with your quiet efficiency that the Institute marches ever onwards and upwards in the north-east."
