There were only two candidates for this our first Scholarship for Napier University and for a Transport MSc student.

The choice of winner was extremely difficult with the two students Kirsty Davidson and Graham James both being of a high quality. However, in the end, Graham successfully took the prize.

Graham has a first class honours degree from Cambridge University and plans a career in Transport Planning Consultancy, work with a Local Authority or Transport Authority and intends to seek temporary work in this area on a 'gap' basis during the latter part of this year in Durham North Carolina. He plans to come back to the UK to pick up his chosen career and to seek employment here. He has a clear ambition to achieve Chartered status with the Institute.

Herriot-Watt University had thirteen candidates for the Logistics Scholarship, won by Yi (Richard) Sun a student from China.

Richard Sun has a BSc in economics (International Trade) from Shanghai International Studies University and has experience working for several companies in China in the Logistics area. He plans to take his career forward in his own country and now has some prospects of a position there. He is very enthusiastic for success in the Logistics area and on his return to China says that he wants to develop Institute interest and influence there.
