The year 2000's events began with a visit to Central Scotland Fire Service's new Falkirk Fire Station and those participating were given a very interesting tour. After the summer recess, the first event of the new session was an open top bus tour of Edinburgh and this was followed by a visit to Scotrail's CCTV centre at Dunfermline. the next event was an open top bus tour of Glasgow and, like the tour of Edinburgh, this proved to be most enjoyable.
Returning to indoor events, the November 2000 meeting was a presentation by Helen Eadie, MSP for Dunfermline East, on The Transport (Scotland) Bill. The year's events finished in December with Mr. Allan McLean of Virgin Trains talking on "Virgin Trains - The Way Ahead". This meeting incorporated the annual Christmas Extravaganza when festive fare and refreshments were available.
