Archie Hipwell, FCILT
A freelance consultant, Archie Hipwell has over twenty years experience in Logistics with a variety of FMCG sector companies. He has experience of ambient, chill and frozen storage, handling and distribution. He now runs Hipwell-Consulting which specialises in warehousing productivity, design and materials handling.
Having worked for Scottish Courage, covering the company's activities from Production through Primary to Secondary warehousing and distribution including warehousing and materials handling design and implementation, Archie was responsible for the design and implementation of the SAP Warehouse Management System and RF Task Management solution for the company's new distribution infrastructure.
A past Chairman of the Scottish Region of the Institute of Logistics and of the Regional Chairmens' Committee, and former Deputy Champion of the Warehouse & Materials Handling Special Interest Group, Archie is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute and holds a Diploma in Logistics. He was elected to Scottish Region Committee and to National Council in 2005 and is also leader of the Region Annual Dinner Group.
