Day trip to Oban direct from Edinburgh | Day trip to Oban Join us on a special ScotRail excursion running direct from Edinburgh to Oban with Haymarket, Linlithgow and Polmont as the only intermediate joining points and no need to change in Glasgow. Enjoy the spectacular journey along Lochs Long, Lomond, Awe and Etive, then after the dramatic descent into Oban arriving at 1205 spend five hours there sampling the seafood cuisine, watching the boats and taking in the view from McCaig's Folly. Return train leaves Oban 1659, arrives Edinburgh Waverley 2107 Cost: £30.00 per person.
